Christmas Shoes

Updated: Jan 9, 2019

On a cold October morning in Houston I sipped my coffee and scrolled through my phone as I was getting ready for work. Just then a text popped up from a orphanage administrator in Burundi. He thanked us for 26 uniforms we bought for these precious orphans pictured below. Their smiles made my day, but I asked why the uniforms are too big and long. "Because we don't know when they will receive new ones. The children are expected to wear them for 2-4 years" he replied. There are 60 children living in this orpahange and my hope is to buy them each two pairs of uniforms, food for Christmas, and some new shoes. If you are able, please donate. Best wishes, Jeanne
